Normally, we make our coffee beans for the sole purpose of drinking them; however, one of our fellow customers showed us that limits should never be placed on coffee.
Mark, a talented pastry cook, wanted to make some coconut-flavored popsicles for him and his wife. Unfortunately, while he was in the process of making it, he realized he was out his regular coconut cream used specialized for ice cream. "It was a nightmare, it was a hot summer day and I didn't want to have to make another trip to the store" says Mark.
Before leaving his home to buy some more cream, he walks past his small batch of Roastery 48's Coconut Cream. "Hmm that could, work...." This is when a lightbulb turn on over his head.
"Why don't I make some coffee and freeze it?!"
And he did just that. And according to him and his wife, "it was the best popsicle we've ever had". Of course, they didn't want to be selfish, so they went ahead and taught us how to make some ourselves. It's pretty simple, here's how to make some coco coffee popsicles!
- Brew up some coffee with your Roastery 48 coconut cream. A cup is enough to make two popsicles.
- Pour the coffee into a popsicle tray. Make sure to put some popsicle sticks so you can grab it!
- Store it into a freezer for 24 hours.
- After they're frozen, gently pull the popsicles out and enjoy!
Trust us when we say this is a killer combination, especially for the summer. Try it out for yourself and let us know in the comments how it goes!
